Project Cash: A Johnny Cash Tribute Band
Project: Cash is one of the best Johnny Cash tribute bands in the country. Hailing from Asheville, NC, the band was formed from a group of experienced professional musicians with a dream to become one of the best country bands in the Carolinas. Specializing in the music of Johnny Cash, the band also performs the music of Hank Williams, George Strait, Alan Jackson, Travis Tritt, Toby Keith and Dwight Yoakam.
Although this band is new to the country scene, they have developed a strong following in Western North Carolina and have begun touring through several southern states. As an additional feature, the band performs a medley of Elvis Presley songs with an excellent vocal impression of the "King of Rock & Roll".
This Johnny Cash Tribute band has generated considerable attention with a unique country rockabilly sound. The accurate vocal impersonation of the great Johnny Cash by their lead vocalist, Ronnie, sets this band apart from all of the other great country bands.
Rooted in Country and Bluegrass, Bill lays a great foundation for the band's material on rhythm guitar. Leon, on drums, keeps the tempo and drives the band while Dave, on lead guitar, generates the unique sound of the band. Appealing to dancers, Bret plays two-step bounces and traditional walks that make the band's music danceable.
