SCHOOLS & COLLEGES

Selecting informative and entertaining educational programs for schools and colleges is challenging for experienced program directors and overwhelming for new program directors.

If the program director has the responsibility to identify, evaluate and contract with performers to fill an entire school year or college theater season, it is helpful to work with agencies experienced in evaluating and assisting artists who qualify for Performing Artists in the Schools Programs.

Patrice Kaluza, the Director of SeaSoundStudio ENTERTAINMENT has personally qualified as a Performing Artist in the Schools Program and now assists other artists in their efforts to qualify for and excel in such programs. A former educator and performing artist in the schools, the Director of SeaSoundStudio ENTERTAINMENT, Patrice Kaluza can assist you in selecting appropriate performers because she understands the types of programs that educate, excite and stimulate the young mind.

Many of our artists are or have been educators themselves and enjoy teaching Master Classes and Residency Programs.

ELEMENTARY, MIDDLE AND HIGH SCHOOLS

Bay Street Brassworks, Ramon Kenan, Almost Recess, transit and Patrice Kaluza are all artists who have engaged young audiences in exciting educational programs within the Performing Artists in the Schools Programs in a number of states, including, but not limited to, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Georgia and Pennsylvania.

Performing artists must satisfy a rigorous screening process to be accepted into those programs.  In addition to satisfying the high standards for such programs, many of our artists have attained the next level of recognition and are approved to offer Master Classes and Residency Programs in the schools.

COLLEGES

Many of the artists offer programs that are also suitable for college groups and colleges attempting to build a Performance Series that will attract various age groups to purchase season tickets for the Performance Series.  See our Specialty Artists Page for a list of magic acts and contemporary Vocal Bands that have great appeal to college age audiences.

Another favorite of college audiences is the Spancil Hill Band which consists of college-age members and plays music popular with college audiences. To audition certain National Acts that attract large audiences of all ages, consider Ed Shaughnessy (from the TONIGHT SHOW with Johnny Carson) who many consider to be the best drummer in the world, backed by his 12 piece big band.

For the ultimate musical experience book an 18 piece Big Band from New York City with a Vocal Impressionist who can bring all of your favorite musical stars to your stage--Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Elvis Presley, Neil Diamond, Tom Jones, Johnny Mathis, Cher, Kermit the Frog, Bruce Springsteen, and many of the other greatest vocalists of all time. For more information on the incredible "Voices of Legends" show, go to our page on The Todd Sullivan Orchestra, starring Eric Kearns for whom more information is included on our Eric Kearns Page.

SeaSoundStudio Entertainment also has many classical and jazz ensembles to choose from including string quartet, string trio, string duo, woodwind and string duo, harp and string/woodwind duo, or simply a solo instrument such as a violin, piano, guitar or harp.

For those events on a tighter budget, a string trio, duo, or solo pianist may be the best option and will certainly add that extra flavor of sophistication and elegance that any live classical ensemble would create. See our Classical Music Page and our Jazz & Swing Page for more information about the different types of ensembles offered by SeaSoundStudio Entertainment.

To create a local theme, select one of the artists from our Country & Bluegrass Page to play Mountain Music, traditional Country Music or Bluegrass music native to North Carolina.  If you are seeking nationally recognized artists, read the bios and listen to the music of Country Legend Ava Barber or the Grand Ladies of Country who recently closed a long-running show at the God and Country Theatre in Branson, MO after performing at The Grand Ole Opry-- the number one attraction in Nashville, TN.

If you want to emphasize the music of a particular ethnic group, request one of the artists from our Ethnic Music Page.    These artists offer music ranging from traditional Renaissance Music of the 1200's and 1300's to Celtic tunes and the unique sounds of a Mariachi Band, Steel Drum Band, Italian Band, Irish Band, German Band, Greek Band or Hawaiian Band.
