Cultural & Community Event Tips
Entertainment at a Cultural or Community Event must be of high quality to meet the expectations of large audiences, but it is equally important that the musicians understand and reinforce the theme of the event.

Remember that performers must be protected from the weather, and they must have equipment sized properly for their music to be heard throughout the area of the event without disturbing others not attending the event.

Cultural & Community Events

Locating artists or entertainers for a community or cultural event can be challenging.  Finding the right group of performers to entertain a large number of attendees requires that the event planner consider the diverse interests of the attendees and the musical genres in which the artists specialize.  In addition, the musical group must be able to engage an audience thereby encouraging them to stay and participate in the event.

Many of the artists represented by SeaSoundStudio Entertainment have the experience and unique blend of talents required for Cultural events and outreach community programs.  In fact, several of our artists volunteer their time and services at hospitals and to charitable organizations.  Since many community programs take place outdoors, SeaSoundStudio Entertainment can assist you in locating the entertainers who are willing and able to perform outdoors.

Both cultural and community events measure their success by attendance.  Many cultural and community event planners have learned to use music and entertainment effectively to attract many participants.  Choosing musical talent that appeals to individuals with diverse backgrounds is a daunting task.  The more varied the entertainment line up, the more likely the event will be a success.

The music must be stimulating, entertaining and of the highest quality.  SeaSoundStudio Entertainment has many different artists who satisfy these requirements.  The artist who can best serve the unique needs of your Cultural Event or Community Event depends upon the purpose of your event and the entertainment theme that will best reinforce that purpose.  For more information on the ideas suggested below or if you need specific assistance, contact SeaSoundStudio Entertainment.

LOCAL ARTISTS

To create a local theme for your cultural or community event, select one of the artists from our Country & Bluegrass Artists Page to play Mountain Music, traditional Country Music or Bluegrass Music native to North Carolina--a traditional favorite at events across the state.

If you want to encourage dancing, go to our Jazz & Swing Artists Page to audition the artists and bands who specialize in providing this type of music. To appeal to a broad range of ages, consider a Rock 'n Roll Show or Variety Band from our Rock & Pop Artists Page.

NATIONAL ARTISTS

If you are seeking nationally recognized artists, read the bios and listen to the music of Country Legend Ava Barber or the "Grand Ladies of Country" who recently closed a long-running show at the God and Country Theatre in Branson, MO after performing at "The Grand Ole Opry"-- the number one attraction in Nashville, TN. Also, consider booking Ed Shaughnessy (from Johnny Carson's Tonight Show) who many consider to be the world's greatest drummer, backed by a 12-piece Big Band.
